Dennis Craswell is a former member of the bands: The Castaways and Crow. Dennis has 5 Rock 'N Roll and Country Hall of Fame awards. Dennis plays keyboards, drums, harmonica, and vocals. He has recorded Two Top Billboard hits.
Dennis is an original member of The Castaways who had a number one hit in 1965, Liar Liar. In addition to touring with The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Sonny and Cher. Dennis has been on TV shows that include Dick Clark's..."Where The Action Is", The Lioyd Thaxton Show, Shivaree, SheBang, Hollywood A-Go-Go, and appeared in the movie "It's A Bikini World".
After the Castaways, Dennis played with the band CROW touring with Janice Joplin in 1969. Crow played with bands such as: the Allman Brothers, Chicago, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Steppenwolf, Vanilla Fudge, 3 Dog Night, Iron Butterfly, Grand Funk, Savoy Brown, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Diamond.

In 1965 we were not big enough to be headliners, but we did open
for popular groups of the time such as The
Everly Brothers. This was a big change for a
bunch of naive guys who thought it was a big
deal playing frat parties for sixty bucks a night!

After the success of our song, Liar Liar, in
1965 we began getting offers to open for bands
of larger stature. One such gig was as the opening
act for The Zombies who had recorded hits
such as, She's Not There, Tell Her No and
Time Of The Season.

Dennis has performed at many festivals such as Toronto Pop Festival, Vancouver Pop Festival, Miami Pop Festival, Whisky a Go Go in LA, Fillmore West in San Francisco, Ungano's in NYC, etc. He played at Trader Nick's beach bar as The Castaway, in Pismo Beach for 10 years.
Currently Dennis plays solo, with occasional guests...at The Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes, on the patio every Saturday and Sunday all Summer.. Venues are in Detroit Lakes in the Summer and Winters are spent on South Padre Island and all around the Rio Grand Valley in Texas performing a mixture of Beach Party music, Country, Classic 50's and 60's, and Rock 'N Roll. The mix can change depending on whether it's outdoors or indoors, day or night.
